Ready for an adventure?

Life Change Is A Click Away

Students entering or returning to college after taking a gap away from home are more mature, more independent and have more life experience than their peers. As the popularity of gap intensives increases worldwide, the benefits are becoming clear. According to research conducted and compiled by the American Gap Association students who participate gap programs enjoy these benefits:

90
are likely to return to college -- higher than their peers
88
felt more employable upon graduating college
75
are happy or extremely happy
60
of gap year students say their gap year impacted the choosing of their major

The positive effects of participating in gap programs are shown to endure throughout the college experience as reflected in gap year students’ gpa as opposed to non-gap year students’ gpa.

The Colorado TAG Intensive facilitates space for college age students to explore God, explore the Rocky Mountains, and explore their calling.

HOW THE COLORADO TAG INTENSIVE IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GAP PROGRAMS

1. The Colorado TAG Intensive is one of the only gap programs on the planet that is both an adventure program and a Christian discipleship program. Students participate in daily group scripture discussions and workshops about Christian life and then head into the mountains.

2. While many gap intensives offer just one type of adventure, the Colorado TAG Intensive offers a large variety of adventure opportunities. Students choose activities together from options that include mountain climbing, whitewater rafting, ATVing, hiking, back country backpacking and camping, fishing, etc.

3. The Colorado TAG Intensive approaches growth and learning holistically. Whether students are getting physically fit in the gym or by hiking a mountain pass, having intellectually stimulating conversations with new friends, engaging the scriptures in a life-giving way, or pondering all that they have to offer, one thing is almost certain: positive movement and becoming stronger and better equipped to rise and meet life’s challenges with grace and confidence.

Four more reasons to attend the Colorado TAG Intensive

1.

Colorado Springs is the place to be for young adults who are 18-35. According to some sources Colorado Springs is one of the cities with the fastest growing millennial population in the US. In addition to being at the base of the Rocky Mountains’ Front Range, Colorado’ lively and professional culture has been drawing young adults and young professionals for years.

2

Taking a breather after high school or during college is a great way to give yourself some space to pursue God or figure out what you would like to do with your future.

3.

Shared mutual experiences with peers is one of the best ways to build and maintain strong friendships that go the extra mile.

4.

You will get to be involved in Saint James, a life-giving church. The Sunday morning believers’ gathering and invigorating Wednesday night men’s and women’s meeting will leave a lasting impression on you that will serve you for the rest of your life.
